Genesis 12:10-20, when there was famine in the land of Canaan, Abram went to the land of Egypt. He had no thought of going back to his homeland but instead went to a neighbouring country. Even though he was chased out of the land, he still returned to the land of which God gave the promise “to your offspring I will give this land.” Lesson; Abram despite the challenge of famine in the land of Canaan, remained firm in God’s promises. This should be the same with us christians today. We should learn to trust in God’s promises that he has given through Jesus Christ.
