Genesis 17:1-14, in the covenant circumcision are important things that needs to be understood. Pastor Hutchens takes us through these important things. Covenant circumcision is one part that acts as a sign that confirms that the seed will come through Abraham. This also agrees to the changing of Abram’s name to Abraham which means the father of many. This circumcision is also a sign showing that Abraham is a priest. Because in those days only a pastor was the one circumcised in order to serve as a priest. The covenant is also a reminder that we Christians have the need to circumcise our hearts. We need to deny our sinful bodies and put on a new heart .
